Official CFI Announcement:

As of Thursday October 20th 2022, Pat and J.R. are stepping down as Directors and officers at CFI.

A word from J.R. :

Pat and I founded CFI more than 35 years ago, and felt like the time was right to pass the torch on to a new generation! Both Pat and I will remain on the board of CFI and will remain active in the organization.

Taking our place as Director and President is Bo Baxter. Bo was our very first paid employee way back in the early days of CFI. After 25 years with TVA, Bo retired and returned to his roots with us. Over the last few months he has been learning the ins and outs of the organization.

With our current team, Pat and I feel like we are ready to step aside and let them run with it. I have never felt more confident that CFI is in good hands!

So, everyone be sure to congratulate Bo.

Liz Etnier and Peggy Shute

In addition to our semi-retirement, we have added two new Board members: Peggy Shute and Liz Etnier. Peggy has devoted many hours over the past couple of years to CFI, mostly seeking (quite successfully!) foundation money to be used towards improving our facility. Liz is a force of nature who will be a valuable asset to the Board. She brings fresh eyes to our organization and we’re excited to have her!

We have a few more to add to the Board and will announce these over the coming weeks.

For now, we have much to do in our drive toward the future! I know Pat and I are excited to remain active partners in this place we’ve called home for all these years!
